Furano Autumn Leaf Viewing
The New Furano Prince Hotel operates the Furano Ropeway from October 1 thru Oct 14, offering you a great chance to see some beautiful fall leaves.
Due to our northern location, Hokkaido is the first place in Japan to experience autumn. If you want to get the jump on everyone else, Hokkaido in October is the place to be. The Ropeway whisks riders to near the top of the Furano ski resort, often traveling thru a canyon of fall foliage and colors. At the top, walk around a bit, take some pictures, enjoy the view. When you're done, ride the Ropeway back down.

Hours: 7:00 -- 15:00 (last ride down at 15:20)
Cost: Adults 2,800 yen. Elementary school age: 1,300 yen.
