Bonchi Powder -- Ski Season Kickoff
As autumn winds down, thoughts immediately turn to the upcoming ski season. To get things rolling, the Furano Ski Resort and the Furano Bonchi Powder Project will hold a a season kickoff event featuring snow scientists to explain exactly how & why Furano powder is so fantastic. There will also be some talks from a ski photographer and some professional skiers. To wrap it all up, there will be a raffle with lots of ski goodies up for grabs.
Later that night, there will be a kickoff party at Kingyo fro 18:30 to 22:00 with live music and a DJ. Should be fun. Cover charge is 1,000 yen.
This year is a La Nina winter, which for Hokkaido means a 50% chance of an above average snowfall for the season. Here's hoping. As always, Think Snow.
